Le moteur électrique Tohatsu / EKA
Fondée et présidée par le Professeur Jean-Louis Aucouturier, l'AFBE compte aujourd'hui 80 membres français et étrangers. Parmi eux, 17 constructeurs de bateaux électriques, dont 4 entreprises étrangères, des représentants de PME comme de grandes entreprises (EDF, Saft), des partenaires institutionnels, des collectivités territoriales, ainsi que des particuliers.
Ayant pour but de promouvoir la conception, la construction et l'utilisation du bateaux électriques, et par la même de contribuer au respect de la nature et de l'environnement, l'AFBE incite à l'équipement de plans et voies d'eau en stations d'alimentation électriques.
Dans le cadre de la politique de promotion qu'elle conduit en faveur des bateaux électriques, l'AFBE participe à des évènements nautiques et organise seule, ou en partenariat avec d'autres organismes, de nombreux salons et autres manifestations telles que le Salon nautique international de Paris, "Pâques Boat" à Saint-Jean-de-Losne, "Embarque à Nantes", "Le Grand Pavois" à La Rochelle et "Les rendez-vous véhicules électriques" de Monaco. Autant d'occasions de favoriser les rencontres et les échanges, de s'informer, de comparer et de prospecter. Cette association édite également une newsletter trimestrielle, AFBE Infos.
